A Different Kind of Reading List for 2018

2017’s reading list had 17 minutely researched, considered, and chosen titles. But I only finished half.

I read lots of other books: new recommendations, book-club picks, and old favorites. My interests evolved. Many of the books I wanted to check out from the library (or purchase) I never got around to. I also give myself full permission to quit books, so that kicked a few off the list.

A very curious thing happened though. My books seemed to mysteriously multiply. I wasn’t reading the books on my list, but new ones winged in overnight. They pile up unread, no use to anyone.

My word of the year is decrease. Decrease in pride. Decrease in ego. Hopefully, a decrease in size. And very much a decrease in things

My word of the year is decrease:

  • Decrease in pride
  • Decrease in ego
  • Hopefully, a decrease in size
  • And very much a decrease in things

So for 2018, I want to make a very different reading list. It won’t be done until December 31st. And I need your help to do it.

I want to read these unread stacks, then send them off to each of you. On the 15th of each month, I’ll tell you about one of these books. Then I’ll give them away on Instagram (be sure you’re following me!).

My new reading list for 2018 will be of all the books I share.
