“Since love grows within you, so beauty grows. For love is the beauty of the soul.” | Saint Augustine

Don’t just give up a guilty pleasure this Lent. Add something enriching too!

What’s in the book?

The book opens with the basics of handlettering. You’ll learn fundamental techniques to get started. It’s OK to be a total beginner. Look at you, trying something new!

Weekly chapters introduce an area to focus on. There’s a lot to learn! Instead of loading you down with terminology and technique, you’ll build your skills “precept upon precept, line upon line.”

Each day brings you new practice pages. At first, it’s just single letters. But Lent is 46 days long (including Sundays). Once you finish the 26 letters of the alphabet, you’ll practice tricky letter combinations. You’ll learn to anticipate and overcome challenging combinations with style and ease.

All work and no play? Not here. You’ll also get a decorative page every.single.day. Drawing quotes from prayers, hymns, Scripture, and the Saints, these pages enrich your Lenten journey. The pages are designed for coloring, but they’re intricate enough to stand on their own.

What do I need to get started?

All you need is a soft tip brush pen and the book. There are plenty of practice pages between the covers! But if you’d like to create little notes and cards, your pens will thank you for using a smooth paper. Here are my recommendations on Amazon. You can also find all of these at your local craft store.

What else do I get?

I see you, bargain-lover. Inside the book you’ll find a link to download some bonus sheets. You’ll get lined pages to practice your own compositions on (just print on a premium, smooth paper), and full-color Easter printables. With 4 different designs in done-for-you, traceable practice, and blank, the bonus printables are worth $12 alone.
